Bio

After seeing a live performance of Robert Munsch’s The Paperbag Princess, at the tender age of seven, Sarah decided she wanted to be an actress.

Studying at one of the nation’s most respected young adult theatre schools, Manitoba Theatre for Young People, Sarah developed her love of stage and film for over a decade.  In Winnipeg, she started out in theatre and eventually made her way onto the screen in commercials and locally shot television shows.

By the time Sarah reached graduation, she decided to continue her theatre education and received her Bachelor of Fine Arts with a major in Acting from the University of British Columbia and a certificate in Acting Shakespeare from the prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London, England.

Her working life has taken her to the Japanese stage as an alien, to the outer space set of Mongo on Flash Gordon.  Other credits include Men in Trees and Supernatural, with a lead performance in the locally produced, independent feature Of Golf and God out for release in the fall of 2008.  Sarah is also appearing in Heath Ledger’s last film The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus.

Sarah is an emerging voice-talent in Vancouver with one fairy voice on her resume and the dream of being a little pony.

On top of being an actress, Sarah is also a creative writer with two television shows in development, an adapted screenplay of the novel Mariana by Susanna Kearsley, children’s stories, a yet-to-be published novel, and a blog dedicated to her life as a professional bridesmaid.

Although she misses her prairie roots, Sarah is now a proud resident of Vancouver and New York City.
